Chapter Refocuses on Character
Amid Allegations, Kappa Remains Strong

Josh Klein ’18 cheers on the United States at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.

I am very excited writing to all of you as the spring 2018 semester is well underway. We are especially proud of our newest member class; 20 outstanding young men recently joined Kappa Chapter. Despite the recent allegations in the news, the brotherhood is working to become stronger than ever, and we welcome the opportunity to grow together.

Highest-Ranked GPA
Academically, the brotherhood is thriving as one of the highest-ranked fraternities on campus. As in the past, we remain at the top of the list for fraternity and sorority performance in the classroom with a 3.6 fall 2017 GPA.

Philanthropy Events Underway
We will be doing a follow-up to our Green Light Go initiative this semester after such a strong turnout from our fall event. Additionally, we will again partner with Kappa Kappa Gamma to “Swab Cheeks and Save Lives!”

Sam Gray ’19, Alex Jalazo ’19, and Michael Roberts ’19 spend a semester abroad in Interlaken, Switzerland.

20 New Brothers Welcomed
Our newest member class is incredibly strong: 20 intelligent, driven, and committed young men have joined our brotherhood and we could not be happier. We look forward to seeing what they can accomplish on campus and as a part of Zeta Beta Tau.

Join Us for Alumni Weekend
Alumni Weekend will take place May 4-6. We cannot wait to reconnect with our graduated brothers, and we encourage everyone to come and visit the chapter house. Once our charter ceremony is scheduled, we will announce that date on our website. Feel free to reach out to Communications Director and Alumni Relations Chairman Max Melamed ’20 at mbm259@cornell.edu with any news, questions, or comments.

Thank You for Your Support
As always, thank you to all of our alumni for your continued support; we would love for you to visit the chapter house and meet some of the brothers. We hope to prove to each and every alumnus how hard we are working to improve ourselves and strengthen our brotherhood. I wish you all the best, and hope you and your families enjoy a healthy spring season.

Fraternally,
Adam Fuhrman ’20
